Steve Lillywhite sounds desperate. Despite having recorded U2's War and Vauxhall and I, the British producer has issued a video pleading for just one thing: to replace Simon Cowell as a judge on American Idol.
Why??? Vauxhall is a masterpiece and U2 is well you know U2..but this is just crazy. Hmm..I just watched the video and actually the fact that he did Vauxhall and doesn't mention Morrissey BUT touts working with 30 Seconds To Mars!? Good god..he is perfect for that crap show after all.
Here's a new band with a 'quirky' European Smiths-esq flavouring to their step. They appear to hail from Copenhagen, Denmark and call themselves 'Northern Portrait'.
I'm assuming from their Smiths/Morrissey-esq photography (See Napoleon Sweetheart EP 2008, and The Fallen Aristocracy EP 2008) they take their title from pretty much just visioning themselves as The Smiths, in fact, so much so that their 'The Fallen Aristocracy' is just another route in the English Language to express the masterpiece sentence 'The Queen is Dead', isn't it now? Still, their down-to-a-tee Queen is Dead artwork on 'The Fallen Aristocracy' is a near good try.
It's pretty self explanatory. I have to say those kitties made it through the whole "Throwing My Arms Around Paris" video..I couldn't even do that! Oh, I kid and I say it with love..haha.
